Situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, Snowdon attracts more than a million visitors each year. Some arrive by way of The Snowdon Mountain Railway, but the vast majority choose to walk up one of the main footpaths that converge on the summit cairn.
The area is a magnet for walkers, ramblers and mountaineers and standing at a height of 1,085 metres above sea level, the mountain provides spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
Snowdon offers walkers a chance to explore the ruined mine workings that litter her slopes and to study the industrial archaeology of the area.
